Find the Nearest Charger 

Locate charging stations in your area and across South Africa is easy with the Rubicon Charge app.  

1. Log into the app 
2. Grant location permissions 
3. A list of “Charge Points Nearby” will appear. 
4. Click on the left pointing arrow for the menu to appear 
5. Select the funnel to filter the Chargers on your list 
6. Filtering criteria include ‘Charging Speed’, ‘Connector Formats’ and ‘Connector Power Types’. Filter accordingly and select the Charger you’d like to navigate to. 

Navigate to a Charge Point Nearby 

Receive directions without exiting the Rubicon Charge app, with integrated Google Maps functionality. 

1. On the “Charge Points Nearby” page, click on the one you’d like to visit. 
2. Most Charge Points have multiple bays which will be marked as ‘Available’ or ‘Charging’. Select one that is available. 
3. Click on this (blue insert) symbol to navigate there from your location, this will direct you to the exact location of the charging bay. 
4. Once you’ve arrived, select ‘Start Charge’. 
5. The “More Info’ button on the same page outlines what each status means and how you can ensure you are charging your EV

Top up your wallet 

Make payments as seamless as possible by topping up your in-app wallet and utilizing it to pay for your charging experience. 

1. Click on “Wallet” on the bottom taskbar 
2. You can view previous “Transactions” or click “Top-Up” 
3. Select the top-up option applicable 
4. Checkout and proceed to payment 
5. Your wallet is all-set to recharge your electric vehicle
